GRAPHIC DESIGN
I started working as a freelance Graphic Designer in August of 2014 while still only half-way through my Graphic Design College Diploma course. I have developed creative versatility in designing for various markets as my clients have ranged from LED Light Wholesalers for auto, exterior and interior lights; a toy company; a boat company; a student workshop presenter; a church; an author; a musician; a Rotary Club; and entrepreneurs.

PACKAGING DESIGN
As part of my Graphic Design freelancing work starting in 2014, I also started Package Design including box designs, displays, labels and blister packaging. My experience progressed to more complex box and other packaging designs including creating templates and die lines for packaging containers. My latest employer was Mark’s where I created packaging design for their casual and industrial footwear, apparel and promotional divisions.
I had to be very detail focused in order to ensure that the packaging design included any legal requirements, all necessary copy; spelling and grammar corrections, French translations, necessary care / usage instructions, icons, branding, etc.

PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY
I have taken photos of products since 2014 including LED lights where I had to be very careful to minimize any reflection in the product by setting up angles, lighting, etc. Products I have taken photos of range from LED lights, toys, boats, boating parts to footwear at Mark’s
In addition, I would touch up the photos eliminating any blemishes, adjust the background, colour and lighting to ensure the products were presented to their best advantage for website and marketing material usage.
I also gained experience in photo compositing for product images where I combined multiple images and backgrounds together to create a new photo composition for clients’ marketing purposes.
1) Took pictures of all new LED lighting and accessories product inventory with a Canon DSLR camera from all angles
2) Cropped out backgrounds and adjusted/retouched where required for use on websites and marketing material

PHOTO EDITING -RETOUCHING & COMPOSITION
I volunteered as a video camera operator for the church I attended between 2015 – 2017 becoming the lead operator and also director of 3 cameras. As a video camera operator, I recorded musician bands, conferences and workshops.
As a Video Editor, I have sourced and applied background videos to audio tracks, assigned camera angles using footage from 3 cameras throughout video composition for a major musical church production.
As a motion graphics animator, I have animated logos and graphics, added presentation slides and created Kinetic Typography for song lyrics to videos.
For school projects, I had to plan promotional videos including creating the storyboard, writing the message and narration.
