History

My Story

My first career that lasted over 20 years  was in the telecommunication industry where my specialty was in the voice/telephone side of things. I selected the equipment; engineered the system and network design;  programmed hands-on the telecom equipment and project managed all aspects of system/network installations and upgrades from concept to cut-over including capital and operating budgets. I worked in different telecom environments ranging from a service bureau producing CDR reporting; major accounts with a network provider; to managing a national voice network for a major financial institution.

Although I enjoyed telecommunications as I was able to use my creativity together with my technical analytical skills and people/ management skills,  I decided to branch out in a different career direction. I discovered my greatest strengths were my people skills and that my creativity was the core essence of who I really was as a person.

Upon further reflection I realized that throughout my whole life I always enjoyed creative hobbies such as painting and crafts and was always drawn to Graphic Design.  

I chose to go back to school graduating with a Graphic Design College Diploma in 2015. From the first day I sat at my desk in class I have never felt so much like this was absolutely the right choice and where I belonged.  I applied myself whole-heartedly to the curriculum gleaning as much as I could from the learning experience and was usually the last one to leave the classroom when they came to lock the doors. I graduated with an overall 99% average of the whole program consisting of 20 courses. 

I love every aspect of Graphic Design and I just can’t make up my mind yet which is my favourite area of expertise. I love the artistic aspect when taking and touching up photos to enjoying the technical side of web design.

With my combined background in Graphic Design, Project Management and Sales I would bring a unique skill set in creativity, attention to details, people / communication skills and planning my work scope to meet all deadlines. 

If I end up working with or for you, I would be delighted to work in any creative project or endeavour you would have to offer and would apply myself wholeheartedly to produce the best visual and functional design for your unique message and vision!
